ANCHOR NSR project waterwise city landschape

The project aims to convince decision makers in city development to adopt decentralised water systems. It will do so by delivering practical tools and transition knowledge, developed by piloting in an urban context.

ANCHOR employs a unique existing EU demonstration network, which will be expanded with new pilots. The project network consists of 6 locations in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and Sweden. Each demo uses source separation technology that allows for separate collection and treatment of waste water from households: greywater (sink, shower and washing machine water), and blackwater (toilet water). The project will dive into the impact of such systems on the recovery of water, energy and nutrients. It will also tap into the impact on the spread of micropollutants and pathogens, addressing social, technical and analytical questions.

The partnership is proud to invite you to the kick-off conference of the Interreg North Sea project ANCHOR.
